Danone factory in "Kemerovo" Moving to new owner with staff

On Friday, TASS informed the Ministry of Agriculture that the Danone dairy plant in Kemerovo would be transferred to a new owner and the issue of maintaining jobs would be resolved.

“Currently, the issue of transferring production to a new owner with the preservation of jobs is being resolved, the company employs about 200 people,” the ministry said.

Currently, the company, founded more than 55 years ago, produces dairy products and baby food. In 2005, the Kemerovo Dairy Plant became part of the large Unimilk company, and then the Danone group of companies in Russia. modernized. In particular, in 2015 a workshop for the production of children’s dairy products with a capacity of up to 40 tons of products per day was opened.

Earlier Friday, Danone said it had begun the process of moving the efficient operation of its dairy and crop production business to Russia.

The company believes this is the best option to ensure long-term business continuity for its employees, consumers and partners.
