Minsk: Russian troops will arrive in Belarus in the coming days to join the joint forces

Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Belarusian troops, Colonel Viktor Tomar, said that Russian units, which are part of the joint forces, will begin arriving in Belarus in the coming days.

“I consider it necessary to note that in the coming days, Russian forces, which are part of the group of joint forces, will begin to arrive on the territory of the Republic of Belarus,” Tomar said.

Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrinin said earlier that the tasks of the deployable group of the joint forces of the republic and Russia are purely defensive in nature and are aimed at responding to the situation near the border.

On Monday, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said at a meeting with the security forces that opening a front against Belarus is military madness, but the operation has begun, and the West is pushing Ukraine towards it.
