Lukoil on Monday announced the complete purchase of the Russian football club Spartak, as well as the Otkritie Bank Arena stadium.
“Lukoil bought back all the shares of the football club Spartak Moscow and Otkritie Bank Arena,” the company said in a statement.
“Leonid Fedun has resigned as president, member and chairman of the board of directors of Spartak Moscow and will not participate in the management of the club,” she added.
Lukoil has been the club’s official sponsor for over 20 years.
However, it should be noted that the team of the capital of Russia, Moscow, which is distinguished by the red and white color, this season scored 13 points in 6 matches and ranks second in the Russian Premier League.
