Company "chevron" America plans to continue pumping oil through Russia

Mike Wirth, chairman of the board of directors of US oil and gas company Chevron, said the company does not intend to stop using the Caspian pipelines to pump oil from Kazakhstan through Russia.

“Kazakhstan is a very important country for the world’s energy markets and a major energy producer,” he told Fox News. “Most of its energy supplies are pipelined to a port on Russia’s Black Sea coast.”

Asked about Chevron’s plans for projects in Kazakhstan, Wirth stressed that consumers around the world, including Europe and Asia, depend on supplies of Kazakh oil that have not been affected by the conflict in Ukraine and sanctions against Russia.

The Caspian pipeline is one of the largest oil pipelines in the world, through which oil from Kazakhstan and Russia is pumped to world markets.
