Barcelona president Joan Laporta has revealed the name of the first player wanted by coach Javi Hernandez, the club’s current manager, in the current transfer market.
This is stated in statements published by the Spanish newspaper Sport, during which he confirmed that the deal required great efforts from the working group to resolve it, despite the presence of several parties in it.
Laporta said: “This is a very special deal because he got a lot of offers. Xavi was the first name he asked us on the transfer market and we worked on him for months.”

He added: “Finally Gondwang moved to Barcelona. He made the decision to join us, and this deal strengthened our position both in sporting and organizational terms.”
And British newspaper Athletic reported that 32-year-old Ilkay Gundvan signed a two-season contract with Barcelona, Spain and he will receive an annual salary of 9 million euros with an extension clause for a third season.
The newspaper added that German star Ilkay Gundogan’s contract with the Catalan club included a €400 million fine clause.
German Ilkay Gundoan played 304 matches for Manchester City, in which he scored 60 goals, made 40 and won 14 championships.
Notably, Gundoan will go on a Barcelona mission to the US to play several friendlies in preparation for the new season, the most spectacular of which will be against Real Madrid.
