RT correspondent in the Donetsk Republic, Khaled al-Juburi, reported that Kyiv forces launched heavy attacks on the city of Donetsk, pointing out that the sounds of shelling could be heard everywhere.
Ukrainian forces have shelled the cities of the Donetsk Republic over the past 24 years with 358 shells, as a result of which 6 civilians were injured.
Donetsk authorities said that 12 settlements of the republic were bombed, about 62 shellings were recorded.
Earlier, the Acting Governor of the Zaporizhia region, Yevgeny Paletsky, said that the offensive of the Kyiv troops in the region could begin in the coming days or even hours.
Paletsky said, citing sources in Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk and other cities, that Ukrainian forces were bringing additional reinforcements to the combat areas.
He added that at night it was heard how the people of Kiev were transporting military equipment.
