Chinese Vice Premier Hu Chunhua expressed China’s readiness to strengthen cooperation with Russia in traditional and new areas, including science and technology.
Russian Vice Premier Dmitry Chernyshenko and Chinese Vice Premier Hu Chunhua co-chaired the 26th meeting of the Committee for Regular Meetings of the Heads of Government of China and Russia via video link.
Chernyshenko noted that Russian-Chinese cooperation in various fields is developing dynamically.
He stressed that Russia is ready to make joint efforts with China to promote bilateral cooperation and make a new contribution to the development of relations between the two countries.
For his part, Hu Chunhua said that the committee and its sub-committees have effectively implemented the consensus reached by the two heads of state, raised the volume of bilateral trade to a record high, and achieved remarkable results in cooperation on major strategic projects.
He added that the committee continues to deepen cooperation in the fields of finance, customs, science and technology in order to fully prepare for the 27th regular meeting of the two prime ministers.
He said that China is willing to make joint efforts with Russia to make full use of the role of the meeting committee mechanism, further deepen cooperation in both traditional and new fields, consolidate the good momentum of trade and investment cooperation, and make greater contributions into a comprehensive strategic partnership to coordinate in the new era.
