The Hungarian Foreign Ministry said that Gazprom had begun pumping additional volumes of natural gas in excess of the contracts.
The department said that this was the result of negotiations held some time ago in Moscow by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Schiarto.
The Hungarian Foreign Ministry said that by the end of August, an additional 2.6 million cubic meters of gas per day will be pumped to Hungary through the Turkish Stream gas pipeline.
