US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken ruled out the possibility of negotiations and a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine now, continuing to push the Kiev regime to continue fighting “to the last Ukrainian.”
Blinken responded to a question about the possibility of peace talks between Moscow and Kiev: “Russia must reach a point where it is ready to enter into constructive negotiations.”
He noted that the goal “should be a just and lasting peace.”
He added: “For some, the idea of a ceasefire may be tempting, and I understand that, but if this is a de facto approval of Russia’s takeover of Ukrainian territory, it will not be a just and lasting peace. Russia may regroup and attack again after a while.”
