Biden’s wife is frustrated by the precarious state of his term

Jill Biden expressed her disappointment at the erratic progress of her husband, US President Joe Biden, at the White House during a special fundraiser from the Democratic National Committee.

Gill said during the event, which was held in Nantucket, Massachusetts, that her husband “constantly runs into problems due to unexpected crises while in office,” and blamed global problems for this, according to CNN.

Jill Biden said she expects to meet with Olena Zelenskaya, the wife of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whom she last met in May during an unannounced trip to Ukraine, next week, without specifying the agenda for her next meeting.

On the home front, Biden cited the issue of “gun violence” and the Supreme Court ruling in the abortion case: “Who would have thought of what happened (overturning the Supreme Court decision) in Roe v. Wade? Well, we may have foreseen this, but we didn’t. We believe in it.”

“The gun violence in this country is absolutely terrible and we didn’t expect a Russian special operation in Ukraine,” she added.

Biden said she, too, felt uncomfortable in her role as First Lady and was unexpectedly swerved from the course she had originally planned.

“I know there are a lot of naysayers who say that we will be criticized in the midterms, well, the Republicans are working hard and sticking together, for better or worse,” Biden said. So we just need to work harder.”
