Bayern Munich thrashed the fortifications of host Bochum with seven unanswered goals in a match that brought them together today, Sunday, in the third round of the German Football League.
Germany’s Leroy Sane cut the goal fest ribbon just four minutes from the start of the whistle, while his Dutch colleague Matthijs de Ligt doubled the score in the 25th minute, while France’s Kingsley Coman added a third goal in the 33rd minute.
Senegalese striker Sadio Mané then stepped up the progress of his new team, the Bavarian giants, by scoring two consecutive goals in the 42nd and 60th minutes from penalties.
And the sixth goal came on “friendly fire”, scored by the Costa Rican Christian Gamboa, the defender of Bochum, in the 69th minute with an own goal.
Striker Serge Gnabry ended the goal celebration by signing the visitors’ seventh goal 76 minutes into the match at the Ruhrstadion in Bochum.
Bayern Munich have won for the third time in a row and top the Bundesliga standings with a total score of 9 points.
On the other hand, Bochum suffered their third defeat in a row and is at the bottom of the table.
