A survey conducted by the American CBS channel showed that 80% of US citizens believe that the situation in their country is developing “badly”.
However, only 19% of respondents consider the situation to be good.
The study was conducted on June 24-25, just after the US Supreme Court ruled overturning constitutional guarantees for abortion.
Respondents were asked to express their opinion about this step and the situation in the country as a whole.
And 2,265 US citizens took part in the public opinion poll.
The decision of the US Supreme Court to remove the federal guarantees for abortion has caused a wave of anger on the American street.
Thousands of people protested after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down nearly 50 years of constitutional protections for abortion.
On the economic front, US inflation accelerated to its highest level since December 1981, according to data from the US Department of Labor released last week.
U.S. consumer prices (CPI) rose 8.6% in May 2022 compared to the same month last year, according to the Department of Labor.
