Allow 7 ships to leave Ukrainian ports as part of a food deal

The Coordinating Center for the Ukrainian Grain Issue reported that as part of the food deal, 7 cargo ships were allowed to leave the ports of Ukraine.

In a statement, the center added: “The Joint Coordinating Center has authorized the movement of seven vessels carrying a total of 210,294 tons of grain and food under the Black Sea Grain Initiative.”

The statement said that the ship “INVINCIBLE II”, carrying 49,500 tons of barley, will leave the port of Chornomorsk for China. The motor ship SILVER LADY with 39,494 tons of corn will also depart from Yuzhny port to Italy.

The third ship, FPMC B 201, will leave Odessa for Egypt with 33,000 tons of wheat. The AEOLOS ship will leave Odessa for Rotterdam with 30,000 tons of corn.

The vessel MELINA will sail from Yuzhny to Romania with 27,500 tons of corn. SOFIE BULKER will leave Odessa for Spain with 27,000 tons of barley. The ship Anastasia will leave the port Chernomorsk to Turkey with 3.8 thousand tons of wheat.

On July 22, multilateral agreements were signed in Istanbul to lift restrictions on the supply of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers to world markets in exchange for Russia’s assistance in the export of Ukrainian grain. The agreement, signed by representatives of Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the UN, provides for the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea from three ports, including Odessa.
