Qatar Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of French club Paris Saint-Germain, has questioned the legitimacy of Barcelona’s processing of his deals during transfers last summer.
And Relevo’s Twitter account quoted Nasser Al-Khelaifi about the economic leverage that Barcelona used to fix his deals, saying: “Is this legal? No, is it legal? I’m not sure, but if they let them do it, the rest will do the same, but of course the EU has its own rules, and I’m sure they will check everything.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta reportedly used several levers during last summer’s transfers to save the club’s coffers.
The Catalan club’s president donated 25% of the Catalan club’s television broadcasting rights, in addition to 24.5% of the studios in Barcelona, using several economic levers to finance the club’s recent Mercato deals last summer.
Barcelona have invested 153 million euros to acquire Brazilian striker Rafinha, French defender Jules Conde and Polish striker Robert Lewandowski.
