After a volatile session, oil rises in price after the statements of Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman.

Oil prices rose slightly today, Tuesday, after yesterday’s very volatile session, which ended with a slight decline, although prices recorded a drop of 5% for the session.

By 08:15 Moscow time, futures contracts for Brent crude oil for January on the London Stock Exchange rose by 0.46% to $87.85 per barrel, while global oil contracts yesterday fell by 0.2% to $87.45 per barrel.

At the same time, futures for American West Texas Intermediate oil for January 2022 rose by 0.35% to $80.32 per barrel, and contracts fell in price in the previous session by $0.07 to $80.04 per barrel.

Yesterday, Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman dismissed the kingdom’s discussions with OPEC+ producers on increasing oil production, indicating that the coalition was not discussing any decisions before the meetings.

Prices fell to their lowest level in months on Monday after the Wall Street Journal published a report saying OPEC was discussing a 500,000 bpd increase in oil production.
