AC Milan open talks to sign Moroccan Ziyech from Chelsea

Prominent Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, an expert on player transfers, has said that Milan have started talks with Chelsea to sign Moroccan playmaker Hakim Ziyech.

Romano wrote on his Twitter account: “Milan have been in direct contact with Chelsea regarding the Hakim Ziyech deal since last week.”

Milan are confident that Ziyech is fully prepared to join him,” Romano added, noting that the two clubs are now discussing a possible deal.

AC Milan are looking to add new players to their ranks in order to retain the Italian league title they won last season for the first time since 2011.

Notably, Ziyech, 29, joined Chelsea in 2020 from Ajax in a deal that cost the English club €40m.
