Abdulaziz Al-Kharabi Calls for Reconsideration of Roshen League Match Dates Due to Prayer Conflict

Saudi Football Player Asks for Reconsideration of Match Dates

Al-Taye player Abdulaziz Al-Kharabi has asked the Saudi Professional Football League competition committee to reconsider the dates of Roshen League matches as they coincide with the call to prayer time.

Abdulaziz Al-Kharabi’s Statement

Abdulaziz Al-Kharabi spoke after the team’s match against its guest Al-Nasr (1-2), which brought them together last night, Friday, in the eighth round of the Roshen League, telling the Saudi channel SSC: “Congratulations to the opponent and I will be back come to you for us. The team gave a comparative reaction. With previous matches, God willing, we will compensate our fans in the coming days.”

He continued by saying: “We have great players and stars and with the new coach we are more organized and you have seen that and the players will give a lot and the next one will be better.”

Al-Kharabi added: “We are in this country, a Muslim country, and frankly speaking, the time of prayer is the most important in the whole world. We want the competition committee to find a solution to this problem. It’s complicated. We play while the muezzin calls for prayer.”

Previous Incident

It is noteworthy that the referee of the match between the Al-Riyadh club and its guest Al-Faiha (1-2) last Tuesday in the 32nd round of the Saudi Arabian King’s Cup stopped the match for a while when the prayer rang in the evening raised in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
