Zakharova responded to the statements of the ex-Prime Minister of Bulgaria about "The long arm of the Kremlin"

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova denied accusations by former Bulgarian Prime Minister Kirill Petkov of Russian interference in his country’s affairs.

“We deplore his concerns about the Kremlin’s long arm.” From the point of view of logic and truth, we see no point in commenting on all the false allegations of Russian interference in the affairs of Bulgaria and the spread of corruption, which supposedly be our “main tool of foreign policy” in the Balkans, Zakharova said.

She added that “statements of a ‘Russian threat’ for domestic political reasons and other narrowly personal considerations are evidence of imminent political death.”
