White House Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby said the US is not looking for a conflict with Russia and really wants a negotiated solution to the crisis in Ukraine.
“We are not looking for conflict with Russia,” Kirby said. “The Russian people must decide who should be under their command.”
He added that the United States is committed to a negotiated solution in Ukraine, but will continue to help Kyiv succeed on the battlefield.
