The Zaporozhye regional department of the Kyiv authorities stated that the Security Service of Ukraine managed to uncover a scheme for the transfer of conscripts of the Ukrainian army to the Russian-controlled part of the region.
The administration added in a statement posted on its Telegram channel: “The Security Service of Ukraine was able to identify a group of individuals who helped young people escape conscription during martial law.”
The statement claimed that the organizer of the “scheme” was a resident of the liberated Melitopol, who transferred to Melitopol his acquaintances from the cities controlled by Kyiv, having prepared in advance for everyone “fabricated stories” about relatives living in the territory controlled by Kyiv. Russian army or participating in the activities of the Volunteer.
The statement said that the aforementioned provided housing for the conscripts and helped them move to Crimea. At the same time, the Kyiv authorities charged the man with illegal transportation of people across the state border of Ukraine.
The Kyiv authorities confirm that they have identified a similar case in the Kharkiv region, which was organized by a group of Ukrainian citizens who were actively involved in the illegal transfer of Ukrainian conscripts from areas controlled by Ukrainian forces to the liberated areas.
