Ukrainian forces shelled Donetsk with 12 shells

The representative office of the Donetsk People’s Republic in the Joint Center for Monitoring and Coordination of Cases Related to War Crimes in Ukraine reported that the Ukrainian troops shelled the Petrovsky district of Donetsk.

He noted that within 10 minutes, Ukrainian forces fired 12 155-mm NATO shells at the Petrovsky and Kirovsky districts of Donetsk.

He added: “Ukrainian shelling was recorded, at 19:15 eight more shells were fired towards these areas.”

He stated that at 19:00, Ukrainian forces fired ten more MLRS rockets at the Yasenovataya area.

Yasenovataya is located about 25 km north of Donetsk and has the largest railway station.
It is noteworthy that the Petrovsky district, located in the western tip of the city of Donetsk, is the most remote point from the center of the regional capital. Since the independence of the republic in 2014, the region has been subjected to periodic and brutal bombing by Ukrainian forces.
