Ukraine’s Armed Forces Gear Up for Fresh Offensives in Zaporozhye Region, Says Rogov

Volodymyr Rogov, head of the “We are with Russia” movement, said that Ukrainian forces are preparing for new strikes in the Zaporozhye region, are moving armored vehicles along the line of contact in the direction of Orekhov.

Rogov said: “Ukrainian fighters are preparing for new attacks in the direction of Zaporozhye. Their efforts are on the rise. In the evening, they massively transferred armored vehicles and artillery, using a smoke screen in the Orekhov area, to cover the transfer.

At the same time, the head of the “We are with Russia” movement stressed that the situation at the facilities and along the front line is still under control.

Rogov noted that during June 10 there were several “slow” attacks by Ukrainian forces – attempts by infantry units without the use of equipment.

The politician stressed that the Russian armed forces partially destroyed the enemy, opposing him, and the remaining attackers retreated to their positions.

Last Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Ukraine had launched a counteroffensive. At the same time, the president said that the tasks set by Kiev were not achieved in any of the combat zones.

On Saturday, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Ukrainian forces lost four Leopard tanks and five Bradley vehicles during attempts to advance in the directions of southern Donetsk and Zaporozhye, while Russian fighters successfully repelled enemy attacks.

For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that Kyiv forces had launched a counteroffensive without providing any further details.

Zelenskiy said during a press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Kiev: “Ukrainian forces have launched a counteroffensive against Russia and our forces have begun to carry out defensive counterattacks, but I will not go into details and will not show at what stage we are. and I think we will all feel it ourselves.”
