Ukraine suspended some agreements with Russia in the field of nuclear security

“The State Inspectorate for Nuclear Control of Ukraine terminated international agreements on the exchange of information and cooperation in the field of safety regulation in the use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes,” the message says.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov called the prevention of direct conflict between nuclear states a priority for Russia.

He also expressed the hope that the United States and Western politicians will have a “desire and direction” not to use nuclear weapons and not to return the situation in Ukraine to a direct clash between Russia and the West.
