British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said he is in regular contact with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu to avoid miscalculations and escalation risks.
This is stated in his report to the British Parliament during a conference he held on the latest developments in the Ukrainian crisis.
It is noteworthy that Ben Wallace confirmed to Shoigu during a telephone conversation earlier that London is ready to mediate between Moscow and Kyiv for a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.
As he previously stated, he did not rule out the possibility of equipping the people of Kiev with long-range missiles, but pointed out that this decision could lead to a dangerous turn of the crisis.
