British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak traveled to Washington on Tuesday evening to meet with US President Joe Biden and call for deepening economic ties between the US and the UK.
And the media said that Sunak “will be pressuring the UK to play a leading role in AI regulation, with the headquarters of the future global AI regulator in London, according to sources who believed that Britain had the necessary experience and size of the technology sectors.”
Sunak will meet with President Biden on Thursday at a White House summit, vowing unlimited support for Ukraine.
“The deliberate attack on the Kakhovka Dam will be the largest attack on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine since the start of the war,” Sunak told reporters on a flight from London.
The British government said in a press statement that the British Prime Minister would call for economic security cooperation between the two countries to be “as broad as our traditional security cooperation”.
Sunak is due to hold talks in the US capital Wednesday and Thursday with congressional politicians and business leaders.
