Twitter users in the United States mocked the US Pacific Fleet for its Independence Day post on the site, attaching silhouettes of Russian Su-27 fighters to it.
The US Navy’s Pacific Fleet posted 61 anti-submarine ships in a Twitter post.
One user commented on the post: “Great Russian destroyer and plane… Well done!”
As another commented, “The biggest fleet in the world… you can definitely use pictures of your ships and planes.”
Another explained: “Su-27 Russian fighters, well done, US Navy.”
After widespread criticism from subscribers, the Pacific Fleet removed this post without comment.
