Former US President Trump’s campaign launched a new ad targeting his Republican presidential rival Ron DeSantis shortly after the Florida governor announced he would join the 2024 presidential race.
On his Truth Social platform, Trump called the launch of the governor’s Twitter campaign a “disaster”, writing, “His entire campaign is going to be a disaster.”
In a new video ad for the Trump campaign, DeSantis sits next to President Joe Biden as the voice-over reads “Washington’s founding politicians” and “Why should we be content with Trump copycats at all?”
“I’m running for president to lead the Great American Comeback,” DeSantis said in a video clip he posted to his Twitter account.
The Florida governor is Trump’s main rival for the Republican nomination.
He was supposed to have a direct discussion via Twitter with platform owner Elon Musk, but the discussion did not start at the specified time, as he heard the voice of the billionaire and the voice of the dialogue curator, Republican businessman David Sachs, but during the conversation there was a cut-off.
