The President of Manchester city ended the dispute over the transfer of Bernardo Silva to Barcelona.

Ferran Soriano, chief executive of Manchester City, has decided the fate of the Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva, who is much wanted by Barcelona.

Barcelona have expressed a clear desire to sign Silva at the request of manager Xavi Hernandez, as part of a plan to bolster the team through big deals that began this summer.

But Soriano has confirmed that the Portuguese midfielder will not leave City for Barcelona this summer.

“Of course I can say that Bernardo Silva will stay at Manchester City,” Soriano told El Chiringuito de Gogones.

Silva has been one of Manchester City’s most important pillars over the last few seasons and was instrumental in helping the heavenly side win the English Premier League title last season.

Silva could appear at the Camp Nou stadium tomorrow, Wednesday, in a scheduled charity match between Barcelona and its guest Manchester City in support of motor neurone patients.
