Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the Kremlin highly appreciates the actions of the Russian special services, which disrupted the work of Ukrainian military intelligence to capture Russian fighter jets.
“… there is a lot of information. Of course, this is a very effective work of our counterintelligence officers. Therefore, such an assessment is very valuable,” Peskov told reporters.
On Monday, Russia’s Federal Security Service announced that it had thwarted a Ukrainian military intelligence operation aimed at recruiting Russian pilots and seizing fighter jets.
According to the Russian FSB, Ukrainian intelligence worked in coordination with the intelligence of NATO countries, and British intelligence provided the main support in this operation.
