the great burden of obamas amnesty on us taxpayers

President Obama’s action on immigration, which is expected to give legal status to about 5 million illegal immigrants, will likely put a big burden on American taxpayers. Many illegal immigrants don’t pay taxes because they don’t make enough money to do so. Instead, many of these people will start getting checks from the government in the form of “Earned Income Tax Credits” (EITC). They may also be able to get other transfer payments like ObamaCare.
Even though it’s not easy to find out how much illegal immigrants earn, a study by the Century Foundation found that “we can be almost certain that, on average, illegal immigrants earned less than $24,000 per year, and probably much less.”

The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) put out a report with similar results: almost half of illegal immigrant families live in or near poverty, according to that study.
