The Danger of Donald Trump Winning a Second Term: Nancy Pelosi’s Warning and Allegations

Nancy Pelosi Warns of the Danger of Trump Winning Second Term

Introduction

Former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi warned of “the danger of former President Donald Trump winning a second term,” saying “the United States will disappear if he returns to power.”

Pelosi’s Concerns

And when asked in an interview with New York magazine about the possibility of Trump winning a second term, Pelosi said, “Don’t even think about it… Don’t think about the world on fire. It can’t be. Otherwise, we will not be the United States of America.”

She added, “If he were president, that would be a crime in the White House.”

Pelosi described the allegations against the former president as “remarkable” and said, “They are beautiful and complex and they might have a chance to convict him.”

Pelosi’s Relationship with Trump

Notably, Pelosi has had an ambiguous relationship with Trump as speaker of the House of Representatives and has often chosen public moments to show her distaste for the president.

Under her leadership, the House of Representatives twice voted to impeach Trump. She also pressed for an investigation into the attack on the Capitol on January 6, eventually choosing the members of the commission.

Justice Department’s Response

The committee called on the Justice Department to press charges against Trump for his efforts to cancel the 2020 election, which it did last week.
