The Collective Security Treaty Organization denied plans to use its forces in Ukraine

Deputy Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Valery Simrikov said that the issue of sending the organization’s forces to Ukraine is not being considered.

Simrikov said on Sunday that “events in Ukraine directly affect the interests of at least two CSTO member states, namely Russia and Belarus, and at the initiative of Moscow and Minsk, this was discussed during the last annual meeting of the leaders of member states. Meanwhile, any action within the organization is out of the question.”

He added: “The OIC Secretariat is monitoring and analyzing the whole situation, and we are paying great attention to the practices of the US and Western countries near the borders of OIC countries.”
