Spanish star Rafael Nadal was eager to send a message to Swiss legend Roger Federer, who today, Thursday, announced that next week’s Laver Cup tennis tournament would be his last.
And the waiter said in a ‘twitter’ that he posted on his twitter account saying, ‘Dear Roger, my friend and competitor.
I hope that day never comes… This is a sad day for me personally and for sport all over the world.”
“It has been a pleasure but also a great honor and privilege for me to share all these years with you and experience so many great moments on and off the field,” he said.
“In the future, we will have more moments to share together and we know we still have a lot to do together,” Nadal added.
“Now I sincerely wish you happiness with your wife, Mirka, your children and your family, and enjoy what awaits you. See you in London.”
Dear Roger, my friend and rival.
I wish that day would never come. This is a sad day for me personally and for sports around the world.
It has been a pleasure for me, but also an honor and a privilege to share all these years with you, to experience so many amazing moments on and off the court ????????— Rafa Nadal (@RafaelNadal) September 15, 2022
El Matador Nadal also posted a “post” through his Facebook account with a group of photos linking the two legends.
