Deputy commander of the Sudanese army Shams al-Din Kabbashi said that the army is open to any serious initiative to end the war, guaranteeing the preservation of national sovereignty.
Kabbashi stressed that the conspiracy against the country is great and the armed forces are doing their constitutional duty.
He added: “We support an expanded and inclusive political dialogue and the Saudi-American initiative is moving forward.”
He indicated that the army is in dialogue leading to the formation of a civilian government that will lead the transition in preparation for the elections.
He stressed that Sudan needs national efforts and external support to rebuild what was destroyed by the war.
