Shutdown of official departments in Iranian provinces due to sandstorm

Iranian media reported the closure of official departments in several provinces due to pollution caused by the sandstorm.

State television reported the closure of official offices in the provinces of Khuzestan in the southwest of the country, Isfahan in its center, North Khorasan in the northeast of the Islamic Republic and Kerman in the southeast.

Official news agency IRNA reported that official agencies are continuing to work in at least three other governorates affected by heavy pollution.

And on Monday, Iranian authorities announced the closure of public institutions and schools in the provinces of Tehran and Alborz due to pollution caused by a dust storm.

These sand and dust storms, which have become more frequent in the region, are composed of particles that can lead to hospitalizations due to breathing problems.
