Salah wants to break Gerrard’s historic record against United.

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah is looking forward to adding a new record to his records with his Liverpool side when the latter faces hosts Manchester United today, Monday, in the English Premier League’s third round.

And if Salah manages to beat United in tonight’s match, he will score 10 goals against the Red Devils in his entire history to become Liverpool’s top scorer against Manchester United.

Salah is currently tied for the number one goal scorer in Liverpool history against United with Reds legend Steven Gerrard and current Aston Villa manager, with 9 goals each.

Salah is also aiming to become only the second player in Liverpool history to score in 4 consecutive Premier League games against United, after Dick Furshaw, who scored consecutively in the 1925-1926 and 1926-1927 seasons.

Salah is currently third on Liverpool’s Premier League top scorers list with 119 goals behind Robbie Fowler with 128 and Steven Gerrard with 120.

It is noteworthy that Salah has one goal in the English Premier League so far this season, and that is against Fulham in the first round.
