Russian official named a promising direction in trade with Saudi Arabia

Russia’s trade representative in Saudi Arabia, Stanislav Yankovets, said the kingdom is interested in increasing the supply of Russian food and agricultural products.

The Russian official pointed out that the volume of trade in this area is $700 million and could grow two to three times, which is a promising direction for trade between Russia and the Kingdom.

Jankovic said during the webinar: “The basis of our exports to Saudi Arabia is the export of food and agricultural raw materials, which is worth $700 million. Food exports are an important topic here, and sales are constantly increasing. and this area has broad prospects. Trade can be doubled or tripled.” The (Saudi) market is able to absorb the increased supply.”

“The Saudis are very interested in Russian food products and call me every day and arrange meetings where their main topic is food imports from Russia,” the trade representative added.

He noted that among food products, beef, lamb, poultry products and sunflower oil are in the greatest demand.
