Abasem’s press secretary at the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, expressed Russia’s concern about the deteriorating situation in Kosovo against the backdrop of the practice of Western countries and Pristina.
She added: “The Pristina authorities are escalating the situation with the support of Washington and European politicians, without taking any effective steps to stop the provocations … Westerners are openly pushing the situation towards direct confrontation.”
Earlier, in the city of Mitrovica, Kosovo, a peaceful demonstration against the persecution of Serbs by the Pristina authorities was held, which was the largest since 1999.
Former Serbian Interior Minister Alexander Vulin said that the EU and Pristina are responsible for the aggravation of the situation in Kosovo.
