Russian Foreign Ministry accuses Washington of exaggerating Russian nuclear threat

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the United States is “spreading horror stories” about the Russian nuclear threat, which in turn creates strategic risks.

She pointed out that the draft resolution submitted by members of the US Senate is commensurate in content and timing with Ukrainian allegations about the threat from Russia to the security of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

She added that such statements are aimed at public opinion, which is not aware of facts and facts.

Zakharova explained that the Russian leadership had consistently stressed that Moscow did not need to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

“Washington tends to overlook the obvious, and it has become typical behavior when the United States and its supporters use every opportunity to create and inflate horror stories about the “Russian nuclear threat,” she said.

It should be noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier that the West is using nuclear blackmail and threatening to use weapons of mass destruction against Russia.

Putin warned those trying to blackmail Russia with nuclear weapons that the wind could turn in their favor, reminding them that Russia is the most powerful nuclear power in the world.
