The Russian Defense Ministry said that Ukrainian extremists, using Hitler’s Nazi tactics in the Great Patriotic War, want to burn the city of Avdiivka in the Donetsk People’s Republic along with its inhabitants.
“From the intercepted radio communications of foreign extremists and mercenaries, it is absolutely proven that the militants will use the scorched earth tactics used by the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War, when the troops of the Russian Federation and the DPR approach Avdiivka, and they want to wipe the city off the face of the earth.”
“The goal of the actions of Ukrainian extremists is to accuse the Russian armed forces of indiscriminate strikes on civilian infrastructure with wide coverage in Ukrainian and Western media according to a pre-designed scenario,” Mizintsev added.
