Research: the number of Russians working in small and medium-sized companies has reached a historical maximum

The network of audit and financial advisory services FinExpertiza reported that the number of Russians working in small and medium-sized companies reached 28 million people in August, which is a historical record.

The fund added in the text of its study: “In August, the number of employees of small and medium-sized companies, including self-employed and self-employed workers, for the first time reached 28 million people, an increase of 2.5 million workers, or 9.8% compared to the beginning of the year.”

According to expert estimates, this figure is approximately 38.6% of all workers in the Russian labor market.

The largest increase in employment in small and medium-sized enterprises was recorded in Chechnya (by 91.1%), Dagestan (by 88.5%), Kabardino-Balkaria (by 55.1%), Ingushetia (by 35.6%), in the Republic of Tiva (by 25.4%), Kalmykia (by 24.7%), North Ossetia (by 23.8%), Karachay-Cherkessia (by 22.4%), Buryatia (by 15.5%) and Chukotka autonomous regions (by 15.2%).

At the same time, in no region during the reporting period was a decrease or reduction in the number of people employed in this industry.
