Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said the Dutch authorities had returned the export license to South Stream Transport, operator of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline.
The Hungarian Foreign Minister said: “A few weeks ago there was news that the export license of the Turkish Stream operator, the operator in the Netherlands, had been revoked and this did not pose a direct threat to supply, and I was informed yesterday by the Dutch authorities that the export license had been returned to the company. “Gazprom” confirmed “This too.”
South Stream Transport, the operator of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline, is registered in the Netherlands and at the end of September last year announced the early cancellation of the company’s export license due to new EU sanctions.
The company said in a statement that the new sanctions do not limit gas supplies via the gas pipeline to Turkey and European countries, in connection with which the company has applied for a license extension.
