Raisi calls upon the Islamic nation to confront Western affronts towards the Qur’an

Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, during a telephone conversation with his Algerian counterpart Abdel Majid Tebbun, stressed that the duty of the Islamic nation is to resist insults from Western countries against the Koran.

Raisi congratulated his Algerian colleague on the blessed Eid al-Adha and strongly condemned “insulting by some Western countries of the Holy Quran, aggression and occupation of the Zionist entity” and believed that it was the duty of all the sons of the Islamic nation to oppose this.

The President of Iran confirmed the will of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to develop relations with friendly and allied Islamic countries, expressing hope for the expansion of relations between Tehran and Algeria, especially in the trade and economic sphere.

In turn, Tebbun stressed the importance of protecting Islamic identity and his country’s interest in expanding relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in all areas.
