Putin: Soldiers who died during the military operation in Ukraine gave their lives for Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that the Russian soldiers who were martyred during the Russian military operation in Ukraine gave their lives for Russia.

Speaking today at a solemn event dedicated to the anniversary of the founding of the city of Moscow, Putin noted that the event was attended by “military personnel fighting for peace in the Donbass, Muscovites who distinguished themselves during the military operation in Ukraine, our comrades-in-arms families, who, unfortunately, were martyred, who gave their lives for Russia.

He added that doctors and teachers who provide medical care and education for many generations of Muscovites, well-known figures of science, culture and art from all over the country are invited to Zaryadye Park, where the event is being held.

He greeted them and said: “Thank you, thanks to you and people like you, Moscow is a pioneer, a manufacturer and always at the forefront.”
