He said: “We can say that the situation with Artemovsk, if not close to completion, is close to establishing an operational blockade, which is what the Wagner units stationed there are trying to achieve.”
The day before, one of the leaders of the Wagner group reported that the allied forces were moving forward successfully, and fighting was already underway in the city of Artemyevsk. One of the most important achievements of the Russian forces in the battles was the liberation of the city of Solidar, which the Ministry of Defense announced last week, and the ministry confirmed that this allows cutting off the supply of Ukrainian forces in the city of Artemovsk.
Pushilin also confirmed that the liberation of the city of Klichevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic led to a significant improvement in the situation of Russian troops in the city of Solidar, pointing to the advance of Russian troops in the vicinity of the city.
He said: “A somewhat dangerous purge is already underway there, and after the liberation of Klichevka, new horizons are now opening up for moving forward. The positions of the Russian troops in the area have radically improved.”
