Polyansky: UN Security Council meeting on Nazism in Ukraine "curb" West

Dmitry Polyansky, Russia’s first deputy permanent representative to the UN, said that the informal meeting of the Security Council on the fight against Nazism in Ukraine left no arguments for Western countries.

“Our Western colleagues completely restrained themselves and could not say anything but condemn the special operation and actions in Ukraine, because the facts we cited, including with the help of video and photographic materials, are usually not presented in the Security Council in formal sessions. This material is very convincing, and it was difficult for us to oppose ourselves in one way or another.”

The Russian diplomat also stressed that the purpose of holding an informal meeting of the UN Security Council according to the so-called Arria formula is the desire to show the world the current state of affairs with Nazism in Ukraine and explain where it came from.
