Politico: US could supply Ukraine with undeclared weapons

The American newspaper Politico published a report that Washington could supply Ukraine with some types of weapons and ammunition, which were not officially reported.

Informed sources told Politico that the US included Excalibur guided missiles in the military aid package approved on August 19, although the US administration did not officially announce this.

The newspaper pointed out that there is a document the US administration has sent to lawmakers that says aid to Ukraine may deviate from what was announced in the $775 million military aid package.

Earlier, American experts said that Ukrainian forces were striking targets in Crimea. Some suggested that the explosions recorded there could have been caused by ATACMS missiles, and not by “special forces operations that delivered explosives to the facilities,” according to the Ukrainian side.

And US national security adviser Jake Sullivan said last July that Washington had no plans to supply Ukraine with ATACMS missiles, fearing a possible Russian response.

On Friday, a senior Pentagon official said that the United States had been secretly supplying Ukraine with HARM anti-radar missiles for some time, noting that the type of missiles was not officially announced, but only talk of providing “anti-radar weapons.” “Without any other details.
