Polish Foreign Ministry: Russia’s participation in the Warsaw Conference is a violation of the principle of solidarity with Ukraine!

The Polish Foreign Ministry refused Russian diplomats visas for participation in the conference of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, which is to be held in Warsaw from 24 to 26 November.

Vladimir Dzhabarov, deputy head of the Russian parliamentary committee on international affairs, explained that the mission received an unfair answer from the head of the Polish delegation to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, which stated that the participation of the Russian and Belarusian delegations in the meeting of the organization’s parliamentary committee is “a violation of the principle of solidarity with Ukraine.”

Japarov stressed that this is a violation of the Tbilisi Declaration of the OSCE Parliamentary Committee of 2016.

The document (Tbilisi Declaration) provides that the member states of the organization have the right to freely attend all its conferences and events.

Zhaparov added that this was not the first violation of the Tbilisi Declaration, as the United Kingdom earlier last summer refused to issue visas to Russian politicians to attend the organization’s annual meeting, which was held from July 2 to 6 in Birmingham.

The head of the Russian delegation, Pyotr Tolstoy, indicated that Moscow would reconsider its partnership with the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly after the completion of the special operation in Ukraine.
