Philippines flood death toll rises to 32

At least 32 people have died and 24 are missing in flooding caused by heavy rains in the Philippines.

This is stated in the report of the National Council for the Prevention of Risks and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters, which was published today, Thursday, as more than 486.4 thousand citizens in 10 regions of the republic suffered from the flood.

According to the council, there are 101,600 internally displaced persons in 150 evacuation points, at least 1,420 people left their homes as a precaution, 11 people were injured, while 418 accidents related to natural disasters were registered in 9 districts of the republic. including floods and landslides.

The disaster damaged 3,320 residential buildings and destroyed 746 others worth $744,200. The damage to 43 infrastructure facilities is estimated at $916,800, and to agriculture at $3.7 million. The flood destroyed 125 roads and 13 bridges, and damaged 19 seas. port.

Power outages were recorded in 63 cities, but these blackouts have already been restored in 60 cities, and water supply problems still exist in four municipalities.

Work and study at enterprises and educational institutions have also been suspended, a state of emergency has been introduced in 20 villages, the government has already allocated $879.1 for assistance.
