Patrushev informs Putin about the extent of Ukrainian troops’ losses during the counteroffensive period

Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said that from June 4 to 21, Russian forces managed to eliminate 13,000 Ukrainian troops and destroy 246 tanks.

Patrushev said today, Thursday, at a meeting of the Security Council of Russia, that among the destroyed tanks were tanks recently received by Ukraine from Western countries.

Patrushev added that Russian troops over the same period destroyed 42 multiple launch rocket systems and anti-aircraft missile systems, and also shot down 10 tactical fighters used by Kiev during the counterattack, 4 helicopters, 264 drones, 595 combat and armored vehicles, including 59 vehicles that Kiev received from Western countries, and 59 armored vehicles, two air defense systems, as well as 279 artillery installations and mortar systems.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, during his participation in the meeting, heard reports on the progress of the special military operation by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev.

Putin stressed that the situation in the area of ​​the special military operation is a priority, and this is one of the most important issues on the current agenda.

In turn, Shoigu said that Ukrainian forces had limited their attacks on various fronts and were currently working to regroup their ranks, assuring them that they had suffered heavy losses over the past 16 days.
